COLD FLARE KNOCK OUT DRUMS (MD-931)


Sheet metal were cut to size before head forming
Sheet metal measuring 10mm in thickness were cut according to the size that has been granted by the former head vendor. Welding seams have been first through the x-ray before sending to be formed. Any defect will be repaired until no defects in welding joints.

Head Forming is in progress
Vendors who form this head is ASME qualified vendors. Inside diameter of the head is Ø3100mm material for the shell and the head is SA 240 Gr. 304. Two joint welding is required to get a head.

Manhole was fit-up at head
Once the head is formed, a hole was cut to install the manhole-sized 24 "along with WNRF B16.5 class 150# that was welded earlier onto the neck.



Among the items that used for this tank were LWNRF SA 182 F304. This flanges were  machined cut before it is installed and weld.



Three shell course arrived from rolling company and ready to fit and install. All of the three shell going through the process of X-ray after they are welded. The material for the shells is SA 240 304. All material for the manufacturing of the tank are not using material coming from China, India, or countries that are not endorsed by Petronas Gas Berhad. All materials used are from the USA, Japan and Europe.
